Lookout tower
Zalaerdő PLtd had the former oil derrick at the Boating Lake reconstructed and renovated in 2017. The building which had been closed since the end of the 1980s has two lookout storeys; the lower one is 28 metres and the upper one is 43 metres above the landscape. Thus, it is one of the tallest lookout towers in the country. You can reach the upper storey after climbing 230 stairs.
You can have an unforgettable and unique view from the lookout tower on the town and on the hilly areas covered with forests of both Zala and Somogy County.
The price of the entrance ticket is 500 HUF/person (including VAT) and it can be bought by cash in banknotes marked on the ticket machine, and by bank card with Pay Pass.
Opening hours:
- From 1st March to 31th March, each day of the week from 9.00 to 18.00 o’clock
- From 1st April to 31th August, each day of the week from 9.00 to 20.00 o'clock
- From 1st September to 31th October, each day of the week from 9.00 to 18.00 o’clock
- From 1st November to 28th Februar, each day of the week from 10.00 to 16.00 o’clock
