The exhibition, “Treasures of Göcsej, the forest and tree” in Lenti has become richer as it has been equipped with an audio-guide set; so you can listen to the considerable information material introducing and presenting the museum in Hungarian, in Slovenian, in English and in German.

Content development of the information boards connecting to the resorts and to the small areas for taking a rest in the forest has already been started, and by the end of August boards presenting hiking and cycling routes on maps were set up at six different venues.

Children were given the opportunity this year as well, the same as last year, to take part in a summer camp at a reduced priced in Obornak with the support of the „GO IN NATURE” project.

We highly welcomed all the visitors celebrating the 100^th Anniversary of the Csömödér State Forest Railway with a festival timetable and with an extended programme-offer in Csömödér on 30^th June 2018.

We invite and highly welcome you in our third adventure camp, which is organised at the open-air school in the forest in Obornak!

The planned, five new small forest resorts in Kálócfa, Bödeháza, Újudvar, Kistolmács and in Zsigárd, and the two new small areas for taking a rest in the forest in Obornak and in Zalalövő have already been established.

During this winter a tour-guiding training was organised at the ‘Nyitnikék’ Forestry Open-air School in the forest, in which both our colleagues involved in welcoming forest open-air school and other children’s groups and Slovenian partners could also take part.

Thanks to the developments of the Holnapocska Public Non-profit Kft. covered by the "GO IN NATURE" program, the children spending their time in the Zalaszabar Camp can spend useful and memorable lessons full of entertaining and playful learning experiences.

The building works of the planned five forest resorts and the two small areas for taking a rest in the forest were started within the framework of the project, in the autumn of 2017; furthermore, content development of the linking boards, mapping, digitalisation and the product development of hiking and trekking routes connecting to the different places were also begun.

We organised a ceremony similar to the open day event of the forestry open-air schools in the forest in the spring, on 13^th October 2017; however, the venue was Csömödér and within the framework of the programme the forestry open-air schools in the forest of the West-Transdanubien region were given the opportunity to introduce themselves.

The preparations for the summer camps of the year of 2017 were already started in the Nyitnikék Forestry Open-air School in the forest in early spring as we advertised summer camp opportunities for primary school children at reduced prices financed from the tender of „GO IN NATURE” (within the framework of the Interreg V-A Slovenia–Hungary Cooperation Programme).

Within the framework of the A „GO IN NATURE” project we could purchase one mYnest bird observing tower for both of our open-air schools in the forest in the June of 2017, combined with all elements (a slide with a balcony, swings, ac picnic table, magnet boards, information boards, a birds atlas and a thermometer) The mYnest is such bird observing teaching equipment which will help and support forest pedagogy work because with the help of it children will gain useful and new knowledge as great experience and adventure.

We welcomed our visitors at the Small-Forest-Railway-Day with a festival timetable and an extended programme offer in Csömödér on 24^th June 2017. The event was organised this time with the support of the National Cultural Fund and as the part of the „GO IN NATURE” project of the Interreg V-A Slovenia–Hungary Cooperation Programme; therefore we could have the possibility to expand this international ceremony organised near the triple border of Hungary-Slovenia-Croatia to an international event and to make this event even more colourful with folks cultural performances.

The Forestry Open-air Schools in the forest of the south-Transdanubien region organised an open day for pedagogues in Obornak on 7^th April 2017, for the tenth time. The meeting that is considered to be traditional and where nine different open-air schools in the forest introduced themselves altogether was organised by Zalaerdő PLtd this year.

Dr. Aleksander Jevšek signed the Subsidy Contract for the GO IN NATURE project on behalf of the leading beneficiary of the project (Municipality Government of the town of Muraszombat) on 27^th March 2017. The implementation period of the project takes place from 1^st March 2017 to 29^th February 2020.
